2017-2022 Vision Plan<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OBJECTIVES <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To\nbe a dynamic spiritual organization empowered by the Holy Spirit to communicate\nthe \u201cGood News\u201d of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ with as many people\nas possible in our church, community, and throughout the world, which is the\nmission of this church.  We as a body\nwill be a worshipping fellowship, while experiencing an awareness of God, recognizing\nHis person(s) in, God the Father; God the Son (Jesus); and God the Holy Spirit and\nresponding in obedience to His leadership. We will strive to experience an\nincreasingly meaningful fellowship with God and fellow believers, to help\npeople experience a growing knowledge of God and man. We will also strive to be\na church that ministers unselfishly to all persons in the community and the\nworld in Jesus\u2019 name. Lastly, we will seek to be a church whose purpose is to\nbe Christ-like in our daily living by emphasizing total commitment of life,\npersonality, and possessions to the sovereign Lordship of Christ. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PRINCIPLES OF\nFAITH <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\naffirm that the Holy Bible is God\u2019s eternal Word and revelation to all mankind,\nand that it is inspired by God;  it is\nwithout error [in the original manuscripts], it is an accurate record of the\nhistory and future of mankind, and that it depicts the birth, life, death and\nresurrection of the Savior of all mankind, our Lord Jesus Christ, and is therefore\nthe sole basis for our faith. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Of faith in the\nHoly Trinity (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 6:3; Jeremiah 10:10; Psalms 90:2;\nEphesians 4:6; 1 John 4:13-16 and 1 Timothy 1:17)<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    1. Of the Word, or\nSon of God who was made man ( 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 8:6; John 1:1-3, 14;\nJohn 16:28; Acts 3:26 and John 6:69)<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      1. Of the\nresurrection of Christ (Matthew 28:1; 1 Corinthians 15:12-28; and John 5:19-30)<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        There\nis one true and living God, everlasting and eternal and of infinite power,\nwisdom and goodness; His Son and Word in the form of Jesus whom we call the\nChrist; born of the Virgin Mary and whose passion bore our sins, but not ours\nalone, but the sins of the whole world. Who alone redeemed us by a once full\nand perfect sacrifice according to God\u2019s plan from the foundations of the\nEarth; and did rise from the dead according to His word wherein He sits at the\nright hand of God the Father Almighty and will come to judge both the living\nand the dead at the day that the Father sends Him. We regard the scriptures of\nthe Holy Bible as authoritative in all matters of faith, practice, and\nprinciple. The ordinances of the church are Baptism and the Lord\u2019s Supper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        PURPOSE OF THE\nCHURCH <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        We\nconfirm that our primary purpose is the communicating the Good News, while\nmaking Disciples of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ to all persons as\nstated in Romans 1:16-17. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        We\nendeavor to equip and enable each individual for this purpose through the\nprovision of opportunities of worship, education, service, and fellowship as\ndescribed in Ephesians 4: 11-16. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        CHURCH COVENANT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n \nHaving\nbeen led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ\nas our Savior and Lord and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized\nin the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now in\nthe presence of God and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into\ncovenant with one another as one body in Christ. We engage, therefore, by the\naid of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the\nadvancement of this Church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its\nprosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline,\nand doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the\nministry, the expenses of the church, and the relief of the poor, and to the\nspreading of the gospel through all nations in accordance with Ephesians 4:1-6.\n  We also engage to maintain family and\nprivate devotions; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation\nof our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be\njust in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our\ndeportment; to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior.   We further engage to watch over one another\nin brotherly love; to remember one another in prayer; to aid one another in\nsickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and Christian\ncourtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for\nreconciliation and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without\ndelay. We moreover engage that when we remove from this place we will, as soon\nas possible, unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of\nthis covenant and the principles of God\u2019s Word. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
